Our Products

NWT Construction Ltd., a division of Colas Western Canada sells bulk aggregates and asphalt mixes to our valued customers. We have expertise in producing more than just hot mix at NWT Construction Ltd., a division of Colas Western Canada, with the ability to produce various asphalt mix designs and high quality aggregate products. Our local quarry and asphalt plant can meet the production and delivery needs of our most demanding customers. Our products are quality controlled and tested in house and are produced to meet local government specifications.

Aggregate Products

NWT Construction Ltd., a division of Colas Western Canada produces and sells our aggregate products from our local quarry. We can produce many different aggregate sizes to ensure that we can supply the products that you need. NWT’s aggregate products are made to meet the specifications of our government, residential and industrial customers and are quality controlled through our in house lab and testing facility.

250mm Rip Rap Rock

Commonly used for water erosion, fill material
Commonly referred to as 10 inch rock

150mm Rock

Commonly used for water erosion, fill material, ditch embankment, subbase
Commonly referred to as 6 inch rock

50mm Clean

Commonly used for asphalt, water filtration
Commonly referred to as 2 inch clean rock

50mm Road Gravel

Commonly used for grading, subbase, trench backfill
Commonly referred to as 2 inch road gravel

NWT Construction Ltd., a division of Colas Western Canada has the capabilities of producing many various asphalt mixes that meet not only local government but also various customer specifications. Our mixes can be produced as cold, hot or warm mix asphalt and we are also developing the abilty to utilize various recycled materials in our asphalt blends.

Asphalt mix using a top size of 12.5mm, can be produced either in hot mix, cold mix or warm mix
Used for municipal streets, highways and runways
Commonly referred to as 1/2 inch mix
